Senior Security Analyst - Customer Trust
New York, New York, USA; New York, USA, Remote
As a Senior Security Analyst on Datadog’s Customer Trust team, you’ll play a critical role at the intersection of Security, Compliance, Privacy, and customer engagement. You’ll serve as a highly credible, external-facing security expert—leading complex, high-stakes initiatives that strengthen Datadog’s security posture, build customer confidence, and help unblock strategic opportunities. This role offers the opportunity to operate with significant autonomy, drive high-impact cross-functional projects, and creatively apply automation and AI to scale security assurance. You’ll also help shape the systems, content, and processes that make trust repeatable—turning one-off customer requirements into durable, inspectable capabilities.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive end-to-end security assurance for regulated customers, strategic opportunities, and new markets—coordinating cross-functional inputs and serving as the primary partner from Security
- Lead customer-led audits and support external audit readiness, including evidence collection and walkthroughs
- Support incident response as a key stakeholder—coordinating customer communications, follow-ups, and post-incident improvements
- Review and advise on non-standard security and compliance terms in customer contracts, partnering closely with Legal
- Translate customer and regulatory requirements into actionable internal guidance; identify and help close gaps in security, privacy, and compliance programs
- Lead initiatives to improve how trust work runs—optimizing intake, triage, evidence strategy, and knowledge management
- Leverage automation, AI, and analytics to reduce manual work, increase consistency, and surface insights that drive prioritization
- Develop and maintain internal and external trust content (e.g., FAQs, whitepapers, runbooks, Trust Hub materials) to scale Datadog’s security narrative
- Mentor teammates and contribute to a high standard of quality, judgment, and operational excellence
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience in Customer Trust, security engineering, information security, or a closely related field
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering results in fast-paced or ambiguous environments
- Experienced in applying automation and AI to reduce operational burden and enhance quality, with appropriate validation and controls
- Knowledgeable across key security and trust domains (e.g., incident response, DR, access reviews, vendor risk, regulatory workflows) and how they connect
- Skilled at mapping customer or regulatory requirements to security frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR; additional frameworks a plus)
- Comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple concurrent workstreams and time-sensitive requests with minimal oversight
- Calm and clear under pressure—able to communicate effectively and make thoughtful decisions during high-stakes situations
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and review skills, balanced by pragmatic risk judgment
Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
