Our Logs Config team is responsible for delivering an exceptional logging experience to Datadog customers, from initial onboarding through advanced insights and optimized account management. As an Engineering Manager for Logs Config, you'll lead a full-stack, technically diverse team, driving product improvements, maintaining high-quality engineering standards, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. You'll have the opportunity to steer open-ended, multi-quarter initiatives and cultivate the next generation of technical leaders, making this role ideal for someone looking to significantly grow their management and strategic impact in a critical area of Datadog’s business.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage a full-stack engineering team responsible for customer-facing logs configuration and insights.
• Provide technical leadership by identifying, addressing, and removing roadblocks to maintain team velocity and code quality.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to enhance our logs configuration user experience.
• Lead strategic, multi-quarter initiatives, navigating ambiguity to establish clear goals and execution paths.
• Foster professional growth and career advancement for team members, including performance reviews and promotions.
• Participate and lead by example in the team's 24/7 on-call rotation to maintain service reliability.
  
  

Who You Are:

• Experienced manager with a track record of leading product engineering teams with an emphasis on customer-driven improvements.
• Skilled collaborator, able to effectively coordinate efforts across multiple teams and functions.
• Demonstrated technical judgment and ability to guide technical decisions across front-end and back-end systems (primarily API services, in programming languages such as Go and Python).
• Passionate about mentoring and growing engineers, actively developing the next generation of technical leaders.
• Comfortable and motivated by working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology organization.
