We are Datadog's in-house product experts. The partner technical solutions team contributes to Datadog's worldwide growth by enabling our partner ecosystem to deliver value for our customers. Our mission is to build a highly skilled partner community for customers. We share our technical and product expertise with partners through demos, presentations, workshops, and ongoing support. Partner Technical Solutions is a growing global team continuously advancing our technical skillset.  The Partner SAs are trusted technical advisors for our Partner channel. This role is a player/coach who will retain some individual contributor responsibilities along with management responsibilities outlined below.

What You Will Do:

  • Your team will own the development and execution of our strategy for the technical development of regional partners to meet the needs of our business in the region;
  • Oversee a small team of individual contributors in the role of a coach, conduct 1:1s weekly, regular team meetings, and bi-annual performance feedback with each team member. Track and manage team member scheduling, utilization and productivity;
  • Participate regularly in recruiting for the team and across the organization and collaborate with leadership and team members on learning and development needs;
  • Lead partner-facing meetings or shadow team member work when appropriate and source feedback from partners that your team directly engages with;
  • Partner with Sales teams on account strategies for product expansion or partner enablement;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders (Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Marketing, Support, Presales, Partners, etc) for internal and external initiatives;
  • Be involved with and lead at multiple OKR efforts annually while coordinating and delegating efforts across your team members;.

Who You Are:

  • You have a solid technical grounding with hands-on experience of IT Development and/or Operations with a demonstrable track-record and passion for learning; successful candidates for this position typically have 10-15 years of experience in a customer or partner facing technical role plus 1-3 years in a management role;
  • A curious self-starter, tech-savvy professional with solid business acumen; ability to articulate Datadog value from server room to boardroom;
  • Confident presentation skills; fluency in English required if not a native speaker;
  • Desired hands-on experience in four or more of the following areas:
    • Observability: Datadog, Splunk, AppD, New Relic or Dynatrace
    • Public Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP, or Alibaba
    • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Foundry
    • Dev/Scripting: Python, Javascript, Ruby, Perl, PHP, Go
    • Config Mgmt: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef
    • CI / CD: Jenkins, Gitlab
  • Previous experience working in a technical role for or supporting channel partners (Systems Integrators, Managed Services Providers, e.g.);
  • Previous experience with customer or partner success
