The Brand Design group is an in-house creative team – part of the Marketing Department – that services all internal constituents of Datadog, including the Events, Demand Generation, Communications and Partnership functions. The group is composed of 21 Designers and Illustrators that deliver a wide range of projects such as ad campaigns, web design, event branding and signage, reports and e-books, etc.

We’re seeking a talented, energetic, and self-motivated Designer to contribute to the visual evolution of our brand design systems, aligning Datadog’s visual identity across all promotional touch points, with an emphasis on events (B2C, B2B, tradeshows, etc.)
You will be a part of the Brand Design team, creating designs across a wide array of Marketing assets in collaboration with teams throughout Datadog.
Within the Brand Design team, you will report to an Art Director while collaborating with other designers and illustrators. You will be instrumental in creating concepts, presenting them and building innovative brand systems ready for application.

What You’ll Do:
- Evolve our design systems to maintain a cohesive, engaging user or client experience
- Promote consistency and quality across design elements, ensuring they follow our design principles and brand guidelines
- Produce print and digital collaterals for big events
- Assist with the design and production of visual materials used for marketing and communications, including digital ad campaigns, layout design and typesetting for reports, icons and diagrams
- Skillfully incorporate direction from Art Directors and Creative Director into finished design work
- Ensure that creative deliverables support the project briefs and are completed on deadline.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree or professional equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role at a creative agency or in-house creative department
- Strong experience in branding and design systems
- Strong experience in branding of events (environmental and directional signage, information signage, booth design, stage and keynote, digital promotional assets.)
- Experience in creating digital assets (social media posts, ad campaigns for demand generation, wed design for landing pages)
- Expert understanding of layout, typography and color theory.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications including, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills while working with all levels within the company, strong organizational skills, coupled with responsiveness and follow-through on details
- Ability to navigate ambiguous situations, identify and solve for blockers, and know when to escalate to keep projects and process development moving forward.
- Ability to take direction, work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, adaptable and able to embrace future changes
