The Principal Competitive Sales Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance our competitive positioning in the market. This role will involve working closely with sales teams, product managers, marketing, and enablement to ensure our sales strategies and tactics are aligned with market demands and competitive dynamics. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of competitive selling techniques, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in driving sales growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive competitive selling strategy to maximize market share and revenue growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and train the sales team in competitive selling techniques and best practices.
  • Collect market intelligence, analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer insights to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, and enablement teams to align sales strategies with respect to product offerings and marketing campaigns.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and how our solutions can best meet them.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Drive the adoption of competitive intelligence tools and resources within the sales team.
  • Organize and lead sales kickoffs, training sessions, and workshops focused on competitive selling.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience exceeding quota in a direct selling role.
  • Strong command of business metrics including the ability to understand the financial strengths and weakness of public companies based on filings.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) and competitive intelligence tools.
  • Exceptional presentation skills
