Senior Software Engineer - Release Platforms

The Release Platforms team builds the systems that enable developers to reliably ship their code to production every day. As a Senior Software Engineer you will both write code and help drive the overall technical vision of our deployment tooling. You will partner with product and infrastructure teams around Datadog to understand how they deploy their applications so we can effectively scale and evolve the systems we provide to Datadog engineers.

What You’ll Do:
- Both write code and help drive the overall technical vision of our deployment tooling
- Partner with product and infrastructure teams around Datadog to understand how they deploy
- Effectively scale and evolve the systems we provide to Datadog engineers
- Help evolve our software release workflow management platform from a set of mature tools into an extensible platform
- Setting and raising the technical bar for building fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Help scale the system to support growth into new and more complex environments
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- You have experience with building tools to deploy software reliable at large scale
- You have experience with building deployment tools for other engineers
- You enjoy mentoring other engineers
- Experience with Kubernetes, Golang, and systems like Helm, Terraform, Argo, Flux, or other cloud-native CI/CD platforms
- Experience as a system reliability engineer
