Office Operations Associate (Spanish & English Speaking)

At Datadog, Office Operations run the day-to-day operations for Datadog and help to keep our employees safe, happy and productive, which means every day is different.  Office Operations work closely with leadership and employees to ensure that Datadog keeps scaling smoothly and remains a great place to work.

Datadog is looking for an Office Operations Associate to join our Operations team in Lisbon to help us with a range of responsibilities to support our rapidly-growing office. You’ll be joining a global team with offices around the world and with opportunities to participate in worldwide projects.  You will be responsible for the daily running of the office, including vendor management, event planning, and catering.  Tasks range from ensuring we’re not running out of espresso beans and snacks, planning a laser tag event for 30 people, or hosting a 100 guest meetup in our gorgeous Lisbon office.

This is a five day a week, in-office position.

What You'll Do:

  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with building management & other vendors
  • Review vendor orders and ensure consistency with business needs
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure your assigned offices are in great shape and address concerns directly to keep our office a great place to work
  • Keep office stocked in office supplies, food, snacks and pantry supplies
  • Work with other cities’ Managers on various OfficeOps initiatives, such as supporting office moves, peers backup, etc
  • Provide support to the Madrid office
  • Arrange monthly events for both the Lisbon and Madrid offices
  • Work with IT & People Operations staff to set up employees for success
  • Assist operations management with ad hoc projects

Who You Are:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese fluency is a plus.
  • A true people person, with an empathetic and friendly demeanor
  • Maintain a well-organized, orderly workspace with keen attention to detail and the ability to create structure in dynamic environments
  • Fast learner who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and shows adaptability and flexibility to fast changing environments
  • Demonstrate patience, can-do attitude and an even temper even under pressure
  • Possess excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability  to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to show creativity and fresh ideas that help contribute to the culture at Datadog
  • Showing initiative on all projects
  • Good knowledge of Google suite tools
