Technical Enablement Manager, Curriculum

As a function of Datadog’s Go-to-Market (GTM) Enablement department, the Technical Solutions (TS) Enablement team assists with knowledge sharing, continuing education, training materials, and maintaining internal processes for our in-house product experts. Our GTM Enablement org works with a best-of-breed product that solves real problems for our customers. We assist with sharing technical and product expertise with the Technical Solutions team through demos, e-learning, live trainings, documentation, and ongoing support. 

Datadog is looking for a strategically focused Technical Solutions Curriculum Designer leader to manage a team to build, deploy, and monitor role-specific enablement curriculum for the Global Technical Solutions organization (including Sales Engineers, Support Engineers, and other Technical Post Sales teams). In this role, you will partner with key stakeholders across the company to prioritize initiatives and create best in class curriculum and process design for the teams.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and oversee the technical curriculum development process, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and to the highest quality standards
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and grow the team of technical curriculum developers, setting clear goals, providing feedback, and promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Build relationships and collaborate cross functionally with key business stakeholders on a global basis (Technical Solutions, Technical Solutions Leadership, Product Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Growth Strategy)
  • Design, build and implement the Technical Solution teams educational journey from onboarding to everboarding, just in time, and manager development
  • Build an ongoing training and certification program (demo certs, technical trainings, etc) for Technical Solutions
  • Strategize, develop, and deliver effective enablement for high-impact Technical Solutions playbooks in collaboration with Technical Solutions leadership and other stakeholders 
  • Develop scalable ways to introduce new content and update existing trainings 

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years in a combination of technical learning and development, technical enablement, technical support, or technical sales
  • 2+ years in people management
  • Ability to solve both technical and non-technical problems independently and deliver solutions to others
  • Project management experience delivering quality product on short timeframes
  • High ownership: you won’t be satisfied until every GtM function achieves their potential
  • Experience developing dynamic and engaging trainings for various audiences
  • Outstanding verbal and written communicator: you make the complex simple
  • Team oriented and empathetic: you can work with analysts, engineers, reps, whomever! 

Bonus points

  • Experience at a high growth Software-as-a-Service or technology company
  • Experience in a Technical Solutions role or with Technical Solutions Enablement 
  • Knowledge of DevOps or cloud technologies
  • Experience enabling technical people/engineers particularly with a structured methodology
  • Experience building scalable programs at our scale or greater

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $135,000.00 - $166,000.00, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.
