Datadog is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Action platform team that powers our recently announced Workflows product, currently in public beta. Datadog Workflows allows customers to orchestrate and automate their end-to-end processes with a simple yet powerful interface. 

As the manager of the Workflows Actions team, you will lead a critical part of the Datadog Workflows products: our Actions platform with its fleets of runners, all our integrations with 3rd party vendors/cloud including our generic integrations, and the Actions SDK and tooling to create new integrations. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the product, from product direction to technical leadership, while also developing and growing a team of talented engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the evolution of a critical new Datadog product: allowing our clients to go from observing to responding!

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and cultivate a team of engineers, including performance management and career development 
• Partner with Product, internal and external stakeholders to shape our integration roadmap
• Own the full development lifecycle and operation of our integrations
• Drive a secure and effective TypeScript runner to execute thousands of actions while balancing security, performance and concurrency
• Work in partnership with security experts to ensure our customers and runners stay safe. 
• Define what "next level SDK" means by contributing to our Action and trigger software development kit
• Lead the development of the Actions platform, the set of services that executes actions for our workflows product and other Datadog offerings

Who You Are:

• You have successfully led diverse and inclusive engineering teams, including onboarding and performance management
• You are passionate about and have a proven track record shipping high-quality products
• You are comfortable taking ambiguous requirements and creating a plan with measurable and tangible outcomes, as well as getting buy-in from stakeholders
• You have deep experience and are motivated by the challenges involved in deploying and operating cloud native (AWS, GCP or Azure) integrations at scale
• You have a track record of leading and operating code in production
• Understands the value of driving efficiencies through automation, orchestration and partnerships with external teams
• Experienced in working and communicating effectively in a fast-paced, high growth, distributed organization
