Team Lead, Technical Enablement Management (Paris)

We are Datadog's in-house product experts. The Technical Solutions team enables Datadog's worldwide growth by educating potential clients and ensuring that existing customers are happy and successful. Technical Enablement Managers are focused on existing customers and ensuring that they are deriving value from Datadog. We share our technical and product expertise by working directly with our customers, providing enablement sessions, showing them best practices and coaching them on how to use Datadog. You will lead a team of individual contributors and be immersed in a fast-paced environment where you will be challenged, but will also immediately witness your contributions to Datadog and to our customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensuring all onboarded TEMs are at or near capacity
  • Collecting feedback for TEMs on their sessions
  • Participation in interviewing, onboarding, internal OKRs, and creating documentation across the TPS teams
  • Ensure newly hired TEMs are onboarded effectively and leading customer engagements (enablement sessions for TEMs) in a timely manner, Direct reports have been demo certified by month 3 (TEM 1/2) or month 2 (TEM 3, Sr. TEM); Direct reports are leading customer engagements by month 4 (TEM 1/2) or month 3 (TEM 3, Sr. TEM/TAM); Direct reports are fully staffed by month 6.
  • Through consistent and effective 1:1 connects, ensure direct reports are growing their skill set, sharing contributions to the wider team, and moving towards their career goals.
  • Growing and honing managerial skills by consistently gathering feedback from your team on your performance, consistent and effective weekly 1:1 connects with direct reports and ad hoc mentoring/coaching sessions, and participating in or leading management skill training.
  • Solicit feedback from all direct reports; Participate in or lead at least 3 OKRs; Participate in 2 management skill trainings (e.g. MAX, self-training, management shares).
  • Provide technical training on technical topics and product adoption for customers
  • Work with sales and customer success teams to understand a customer’s IT Operations environment to provide recommendations that will maximize Datadog’s value.
  • Mentor and train users of the Datadog platform 
  • Collaborate with Datadog’s product management, engineering and technical services teams to help identify new features and products
  • Continuously iterate on best practices for  technical product adoption and customer success

Who You Are:

  • Someone with a history of learning new skills 
  • A self-starter, tech-savvy professional who can easily understand a company’s business requirements and explain Datadog’s value and technical details to C-level executives, a technical guru and everyone in between 
  • Experienced with AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience planning for and providing training in a professional setting
  • Able to sit up to 4 hours, traveling to and from client sites; 
  • Able to travel via auto, train or air up to 30% of the time

Bonus Points: 

  • You have had previous experience leading customer facing teams.
  • Previous experience working as a technical trainer or any post sales vendor capacity supporting mid-market and/or Enterprise customers in the cloud space
  • You have experience using Datadog and/or other cloud monitoring tools.
  • Hands on experience with the following types of technologies:
    • Scripting languages like Python, Javascript, Ruby, etc.
    • Configuration management tools like Chef or Puppet
    • CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, Gitlab etc.
    • Containerization tools e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, etc
