The Data Visualization team owns the creation of our interactive visualizations (graphs, charts, and maps) and our widget framework allowing the wide reusability of our visualizations across our web application. We build our visualizations to be widely reusable, without making compromises on the end user experience and the specificity of different datasets or context into which they rely on visualization. We’re looking for a leader that can bring technical leadership and data visualization expertise to identify and prioritize challenging problems with a cross functional approach.  You’ll be working closely with Product managers and engineering teams facing new challenges helping their customers understand & monitor their cloud environment.

What You’ll Do: 

• Own the vision and execution for our Data Viz teams
• Help managers grow and support the growth of their reports
• Partner with Datadog’s frontend teams to find solutions to their specific needs
• Foster our platform potential. Help define the vision for how we can force multiply our efforts by empowering our stakeholders to use our toolkit.
• Create a roadmap in conjunction with our PMs and partner teams

Who You Are: 

• You’ve managed and lead one or more teams and have shipped successful products
• Have domain expertise working with large datasets and visualizations
• You’re comfortable working on a loosely defined problem space, with a strong R&D culture leading to concrete results
• You’re comfortable managing geographically distributed teams (across the Americas & Europe)
• You’re adept at motivating people through a combination of clear communication, a track record of successful and rapid execution, and an ambitious vision
• You have experience with video game graphics, map/geo visualization tools, or tools such as WebGL, Canvas, or similar tools

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $234,000 to $300,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
