Mission:

AWS Contexts is a new team that is being spun out of the Cloud Integrations group with a focus on empowering products with AWS data beyond Infrastructure Monitoring. This includes new product areas in the Security and Cloud Cost space, as well existing products such as Logs and Network Performance. We believe that this team will unlock significant revenue from data available from AWS as well as facilitate the “single pane of glass” user experience across Datadog.

Role: 

As the Engineering Manager for the AWS Contexts team, you’ll take ownership of how AWS data is used at Datadog and manage your team to create as much value as possible with it. This will involve developing relationships and working with stakeholders across the product suite at Datadog and drive the execution. Additionally, as the first Cloud Integrations team based in Europe, this role will be responsible for establishing the culture and presence of the group in our Eu engineering office.

What You’ll Do: 

• Manage and grow a small engineering team, developing their skills, helping advance their careers and recruiting additional team members
• Set a high standard for your team by writing and shipping high quality code on a consistent basis
• Collaborate with teams and products across Datadog to derive more value from AWS data
• Grow the presence of the Cloud Integrations group in Europe by building relationships with partner teams

Who You Are:

• You have 6+ years of software development experience and can write production ready code in multiple languages such as Python, Go & Java
• You have direct people management experience or a strong desire to develop as an engineering leader
• You thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and find ways to drive outcomes working with key stakeholders
• You are a technical polyglot that can work across various stacks and languages including high volume, distributed systems
