Director of Staff, Technical Solutions

As our first ever Chief of Staff to the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Technical Solutions, you will help manage the Technical Solutions department through the following primary functions: Program Management, Strategic Planning, Operational Excellence, Business Insights and Analytics, and Communications. You will work directly for the SVP of Technical Solutions and partner closely with their leadership team to help the organization grow, scale and run more effectively.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Manage the operational rhythm of the Technical Solutions department by coordinating and leading quarterly planning processes and recurring staff meetings
  • Be a critical thought partner and catalyst for change, collaborating across the department to ensure alignment of goals and execution
  • Stay close to key operating metrics of the business to identify and raise key focus areas 
  • Improve current processes within the department for optimized efficiency and productivity
  • Oversee and drive strategic initiatives from development through to successful implementation and execution
  • Provide recommendations on how to grow and organize the teams as the company scales

Who You Are: 

  • Seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience and a BS/BA in a relevant field, MBA is preferred
  • Experienced in leading complex, strategic and cross-functional projects
  • An excellent communicator with strong written and oral communication skills
  • A critical thinker with a demonstrated ability to bring data into decision making processes
  • Someone with great interpersonal skills that is able to develop strong relationships across the organization

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $171,000 - $251,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
