The Team:

Product Marketing is a key part of bringing Datadog’s observability products to market. Working across teams, we represent the voice of the customer and craft positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that drive successful growth of our expanding portfolio of products.

 

The Opportunity:

As a Product Marketing Manager for our Network Performance Monitoring and Network Device Monitoring products, you’ll position and launch new capabilities, increase market presence, and build a strategic narrative targeted at multiple personas; you will then put your story and messaging to work in many creative ways available to you across campaigns, enablement, events, and sales plays.

In this role, you’ll touch on all areas of the business and help scale Datadog even further as a mini CMO of your product. We empower our Product Marketing Managers to work cross-functionally and create a unique path to commercial success of the areas they own. 

This is a full-time hybrid role in our NYC office.

 

You Will:

  • Manage successful product launches by formulating and leading the go-to-market strategy of new product segments and features including: messaging, positioning, pricing, packaging, demos, etc.
  • Collaborate with teams across Marketing, Product and Sales to identify and drive strategic campaigns, events, partnerships, and training to expand Datadog’s presence and augment our lead generation efforts.
  • Conduct thorough competitive and market analysis per product segments, resulting in product roadmap guidance and sales consumable battlecards.
  • Teach, create, and optimize internal learning curriculum that enables the sales and customer success teams.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience is required
  • Previous experience bringing technical features/functions from concept to revenue generation, preferably in Infrastructure, Networking, and Cloud technology space
  • Strong writing and presentation skills with the ability to command an audience

 

Bonus points:

  • You have prior experience in launching and promoting products in untapped markets
  • You have network engineering experience or an ability to understand an engineer’s day to day
  • You have a BS in computer science or a related field
  • You’re passionate about exploring new technologies

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $154,000 - $205,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
