Senior Enterprise IT Support Technician

The IT Support team is responsible for the hardware and software that Datadog employees around the world use on a daily basis to successfully do their jobs. As a senior member of this team, you will be supporting thousands of endpoint devices such as macOS, iOS, Windows, and Chrome OS. You will serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues faced by junior team members, and you will be relaying issues and trends you identify to management and work on fixing them. Additionally, you will support software as a service (SaaS) solutions like Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jamf, and more. You will also facilitate the onboarding of new hires, support current employees and make sure the technology in our offices work.


 

What You’ll Do:

  • Handle general ticketing, account management, and problem escalation, and participate in the On-Call rotation to provide support to users who are in need of urgent assistance. 
  • Identify trends, be a key contributor to fixing issues, and work on company wide projects impacting all employees
  • Support unified communications needs for Datadog employees in conference rooms and other common areas
  • Create and maintain internal and user facing documentation
  • Participate in hardware/ software deployment as part of onboarding, refresh cycles,  and security related projects
  • Conduct new hire IT orientations covering policies, best practices and services used within Datadog
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory & work with other teams to determine best practices and policies for management & replenishment. 
  • Assist with the IT build outs of new office spaces
  • Mentor and train new team members
  • Be a technical owner/ SME of one or more systems, and act as a technical lead and resource for your team
  • Be both a “starter”(explore new complex problem areas to deliver prototypes and proofs-of-concept) and a “finisher” (takes projects from "80% done" to "deployed, correct, operable, and maintainable) 

 


Who You Are:

  • You enjoy helping people and providing top of the line customer support
  • You have supported Apple devices such as Macbooks and iPads in a large corporate environment
  • You have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • You are continuously learning and you’re fascinated by the way things work 
  • You have experience in providing detailed support under high pressure settings in a corporate environment
  • You want to work in a fast paced, high growth startup environment
  • You’ve used Google Workspace and other common SaaS applications such as Slack, Zoom, Trello, RingCentral and Jamf to administer & manage user accounts
  • You have experience managing medium to large IT related projects

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $102,000 - $117,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
